Blue Ridge Parkway

The Blue Ridge Parkway is one of the most famous drives in the United States and it was constructed as part of the New Deal. There are three places where you can access the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Rockbridge County area: 1) Route 56 near the Cyrus McCormick Farm, 2) Route 60 near Buena Vista, and 3) Routes 130 and 501 near Natural Bridge. www.blueridgeparkway.org

Route 39 Appalachian Waters Scenic Byway

Highlands Scenic Byway

This is your opportunity to get off the beaten path and experience Virginia’s scenic countryside. The Byway consists of a 19-mile loop between Lexington and Clifton Forge. Directions: Take Exit 43 off I-64 westbound, go short distance on SR 780, turn left on Forest Road 447 to begin the 19 mile loop tour.
