Lexington, VA historic carriage rides

The clip-clop of horses is a familiar sound throughout historic Downtown Lexington, VA. Experience the rich history of our charming college town from a horse-drawn carriage. Enjoy a fully narrated, 45-minute tour with plenty of interesting tidbits about historic sites such as Washington & Lee University, VMI, Lee Chapel, and the Stonewall Jackson House.  You’ll also visit historic residential streets to learn about homes and architecture from the early 1800s through 1880s. The carriage tour season generally runs from April 1st to October 31st. All tours begin at 106 E. Wade’s Mill

Visit a working flour mill (circa 1750) powered by a 21-foot water wheel. One of the few remaining mills of its kind and on the National Register of Historic Places, Wade’s Mill is truly a blast from the past!
