A little bit about Carolyn…
Carolyn received a degree in English Education from North Dakota State University and then taught junior high school in Fargo, ND. She moved to Lexington, VA in 1974 and fell in love with the area. Carolyn worked as a docent at the Stonewall Jackson House and also volunteered as a “Pink Lady” for the Stonewall Jackson Hospital Auxiliary (back when the hospital was still located in Jackson’s historic home). Carolyn then became an owner of a business called Travel Unlimited where she helped lead tours to the Holy Land, Greece and Italy.
Carolyn met her husband-to-be, Raymon Kuper, while he was teaching in the ROTC Department at Washington & Lee University and she was working at Travel Unlimited. (The match occurred after Carolyn helped him obtain an international driver’s license!) They married and Raymon was soon reassigned by the Army. The couple, along with their newborn son, set off for West Germany in December of 1986. The Kupers were actually in Berlin as the Berlin Wall came down in 1989 – exciting times!
The family returned to Lexington, VA in 1990. After their son started Kindergarten, Carolyn decided to give real estate a try. Carolyn obtained her real estate license and learned a great deal from Wally Fogo, a successful and respected local agent. Carolyn joined RE/MAX Town & Country three years later and quickly became a licensed broker.
When she’s not working, Carolyn enjoys traveling, gardening and trying new recipes. (Her baking skills are rumored to be exceptional!) Raymon and Carolyn also enjoy seeing their son, Kurt, who now lives and works in Vail, Colorado.
